Uses of Chorizo for Catering Services

Chorizo is made up of flavored pork which is usually spicy or sweet. Chorizo can also be spelled as “chourizo” which means type of pork sausages. One of the most common uses of Chorizo is making it as special ingridients in cooking some of the best seller spanish menus in catering services such as morcons, chicken parmigian, tacos and other mexican foods

The two common types of chorizo are Spanish chorizo and Mexican chorizo. The Spanish chorizo has a special ingredient called “pimenton”. This paprika gives the Spanish chorizo a deep color of red and a good smoky flavor. On the other hand, Mexican chorizo is made up of spicy red pepper and usually the meat is ground unlike the Spanish chorizo that is only chopped.

Most of the time chorizo is used as a part of ingredient of pizza, tacos, pasta and can also be cooked with rice. As a food lover, I tried to taste pasta y chorizo in one of the Spanish restaurants in Eastwood. This pasta is olive oil based and the main ingredient of it is chorizo. The sweet and smoky taste of chorizo gives the pasta a taste that you cannot easily forget.

Aside from pasta, chorizo is also a good toppings for pizza. Some studies claimed that chorizo was originated in Spain until other Mexican and Latin Americans adopt this kind of food. In Galicia, Spain every February of the year they celebrate their chorizo festival and they call it as the “Exaltation of the Sausage”.

Chorizo can be considered as one of the special ingredients in Latin American and South American cuisines. They always used this kind of food as an ingredient. Chorizo can easily be found in many markets and aside from that we cannot deny the fact that you can make your own chorizo and have a different version of it.
